CanScreen.ca is an online magazine dedicated to national coverage of news and information on all forms of Canadian screen content. We cover Canadian film, television, web series and digital content, and the creators and talent behind them. Designed for fans and industry alike, CanScreen features interviews, profiles, reviews, behind-the-scenes set visits, trailers and a variety of editorial content.

MADISON HELPERT – EDITORIAL/PUBLICITY ASSISTANT

Madison Helpert began her work in the entertainment industry as an assistant on a feature film in Sudbury and moved to Toronto to pursue her dream of working on sets. She studied public relations and communications, which led to her fascination with social networking and the ever-changing landscape of the Internet.

CHARLES HUTCHINGS – JOURNALIST/VIDEOGRAPHER

Charles Hutchings has a Bachelor of Fine Arts folded up in his wallet and uses it to try to get into TIFF after-parties. He is an indie filmmaker and likes all images, moving or otherwise.

TRISH JAGGER – JOURNALIST

Trish Jagger has always had a great love of the cinema. She has worked as a script supervisor on film and TV productions across Canada and continues to be active in the Alberta film community, working on set as often as possible. She is a teacher for Edmonton Public Schools and shares her passion and knowledge of film with her students. @TrishJagger

Sheldon Ludwig is the owner of Don Shal Productions and is involved in the post-production of film and television, web development and graphic design. ARIANA MARQUIS – SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

Ariana Marquis is an actress and studies at Ryerson Theatre School. She hails from Fredericton, New Brunswick. She has a role in the upcoming feature film “Owl River Runners.” @arianamarquis

Jeffrey P. Nesker is a Toronto filmmaker. He has produced several short films under the banner of his production company Ocular Nutrition and directed the superhero web series “The Undrawn,” which was awarded a Bell Media Fellowship at the 2013 Banff World Media Festival. His debut feature film, “Elsewhere, NY,” had its premier at the 2014 Whistler Film Festival and was screened at this year’s Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, California. @JeffreyPNesker

Nicole Powell is a producer living in Toronto. She loves cookies and Instagram, and her free time is spent learning how to dance like Beyonce (pipe dream). She works with many talented filmmakers, creating music videos and shorts under her production company Part & Parcel Collective.

Kevin Valbonesi is an Italian-Canadian screenwriter and journalist. His endless curiosity has led him to try just about everything and to own more books than his local library. Currently, most of his time is devoted to creating and hosting the popular history podcast “Voices From the Ages” and to the study of Latin.

Etan Vlessing is The Hollywood Reporter’s Canadian bureau chief.

Serena Whitney is a Toronto writer. Her work has appeared on the website Dread Central and in the Canadian music magazine Exclaim.

ADDISON WYLIE – JOURNALIST

Addison Wylie is a graduate of Canadore College’s television broadcasting and video production course, and found his calling in film journalism as a featured columnist for The Campus Free Press and as Film Army’s resident film critic. Currently, he’s the founder and lead film critic of the Toronto-based website Wylie Writes, and has a monthly film-centric column in Peterborough’s The Wire Megazine.

ZACHARY ZAZA – VIDEOGRAPHER/JOURNALIST
